About Us

The Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the Lauder Institute, University of Pennsylvania conducts research on the role policy institutes play in governments and in civil societies around the world.

The Go To Think Tank Index

The Global Go To Think Tank Index is the result of an international survey of over 7,500 scholars, public and private donors, policy makers, and journalists who helped rank more than 6,600 think tanks using a set of 28 criteria developed by the TTCSP.

Think Tank Directory

TTCSP is developing a global, comprehensive, multi-sectoral database and directory of think tanks featured in the Go To Reports. You can also submit or update think tank information for inclusion in the database and consideration in the annual index.

TTCSP Research

The TTCSP conducts research and provides technical assistance on a wide range of environmental challenges and organizational development issues facing think tanks and policy communities around the globe.

Internships

The Think Tanks and Civil Society Program (TTCSP) runs a small, highly selective internship program for students (gap-year, grad and undergrad) and recent graduates interested in gaining first-hand experience in public policy research in domestic and international affairs.
